Welcome to Ariana Restaurant! My name is Baheja Rostami, and together with my husband, Najeeb, we are the hearts behind this family-owned Afghan restaurant. We want to share our story with you because Ariana was built not just from recipes, but from our journey, our culture, and our love for hospitality.

Both Najeeb and I grew up surrounded by the warmth of Afghan tradition, where every gathering centered around food, family, and generosity. When we came to the United States, we brought those values with us, along with the dream of eventually sharing the flavors of our heritage with our new community.

Najeeb migrated to the United States in 2005 after spending several years working in the restaurant industry in the U.K. His early experience gave him a strong foundation in customer service and restaurant operations, skills that later became a huge part of building Ariana. I brought my own passion for Afghan cuisine, community, and the joy of creating a welcoming place where people feel at home the moment they walk in.

In 2010, together, we opened our first location: Ariana Restaurant at 129 Brighton Ave. in Allston, a cozy and humble space where it all began. After five wonderful years, thanks to the support of our growing customer base, we expanded and relocated to 384 Western Ave. in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood. Our new space offers more seating, private dining options, outdoor seating, and convenient parking, all designed to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable.

Over the years, Ariana Restaurant has truly become part of our family’s life. Our children grew up in the kitchen and dining room, learning the same values of hard work, hospitality, and pride in our culture. And our customers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning, have become part of our story too.
